Elves!? No elves here. Ira and Tony finish every frame we build in house. Filing, brazing and final facing. #custom #steelisreal #love #madeinoregon #madeinportland #sopwamtos

Fillet braze Friday. Twice a year our own @pereiracycles teaches a brazing class at United Bicycle Institute. His brass skills are wicked good and he always comes back to work stoked. Follow @unitedbicycle and maybe sign up to build your own frame! #passthetorch #bikeschool #madeinoregon #breadwinnercxteam

@adamkachman recently came by our shop to take some photos for @bikevibe magazine. This shot sums up why we think #makersmonday is so important. Support your local maker or craftsperson this season. #madeinOregon #madeinUSA

It’s #smallbizsat and I am taking the morning to finish up a couple frames for paint next week. Breadwinner Cycles is 3 people and we have a small shop in Portland. Tony and I still answer every email, design each frame and do all the building on every custom frame we make even if it means working on a Saturday morning. @iraryancycles @pereiracycles #badotis #madeinOregon

Every pair of chainstay and dropouts we use is filed by hand to get a crisp scallop and smooth finish. It takes a lot of time but the result is a better looking bike frame. #handmade #sopwamtos #madeinOregon

Spotted this old @pereiracycles at @cyclepathpdx yesterday. You can clearly see the DNA for our #ArborLodge city bike in this handmade mixte design Tony built years ago. #steelisreal #madeinOregon #madeinUSA #tbt

Freshly brazed TITO stainless inserts into our low-mount disc dropouts. They take more time and cost more to make but they look great and work even better. #madeinUSA #madeinOregon #steelisreal

Built by humans. Found some old photos from when @pereiracycles and @iraryancycles started working together and we built a handful of lugged #Continentals. We have grown a lot in how we organize and manage the framebuilding but we still build every frame custom to fit by hand. #sopwamtos #builtinportland #madeinOregon #tbt

We get to use our new TITO dropout on some bikes today. We made the tabs fit a wider range of stay angles and they’re 30g lighter per set than our previous design. #madebyhandwithmachines #madeinOregon
