Anne Moore is passionate about ultra-endurance riding (“Any distance gravel riding,” she says “with 200k+ rides being my favorite.”) and came to Breadwinner looking for a bike that could go the distance.

A somewhat unique riding position had caused injuries in the past, and Anne was eager for a more comfortable solution. “I needed something very specific to allow me to go the extra miles without beating myself up.”

We've got some pretty sweet trails to ride in the region, thanks to the dedicated work of @nwtrailalliance + many, many volunteers.

We believe in giving back to the regions where we ride, which is why we're proud to support NW Trail Alliance.

We also appreciate all of the programs they offer to help get more people on the trail, especially BIPOC riders, people who may not easily have trail access, the little tykes and through their Trail Sisters program for woman-identified riders.

Let’s face it, early gravel bikes started out as

Let’s face it, early gravel bikes started out as cyclocross bikes.

We built this Holeshot cx bike in 2016 and while the B-Road is a hair different, this bike was designed to be fast and agile on gravel AND around the cross track.

Both frames use the same tubing (@columbus_official Life main tubes and Columbus Zona stay on the back end) to give the frame the balance between snap and some spring feedback under hard riding. The frame will flex just enough to give you a little snap back.

Pair this with a Paragon headtube and tapered carbon fork up front and the result is a frame that feels planted but light.

It's easy to pick up and flick the front wheel but stable and predictable in loose terrain.

The real sweet spot is the BB drop on the Holeshot. We use a slightly higher BB shell (68mm BB drop) which gives the bike a little more snap and it wants to bunny hop over anything! The B-Road has the same BB drop as a good road bike (72mm in Ira's h.o.) which also means it has better feedback through the cranks and allows for more body english as needed.

Add a @silca_velo frame pump to this mix and it’s ready for any road, any trail, anytime. Cross is coming.

Careful thought goes into the steel tubing we select for each of our bike models as we match the tubing characteristics to the intended ride quality.
