Whether your day-to-day riding takes you on perfect pavement, less-than-ideal chip seal, or primitive gravel, this A-Road always brings its A-game.

Tony has been riding this bike and he’s convinced!

“This is the best riding road bike that we have ever built. The light Columbus steel frame and lively Reynolds steel fork are a magic combination.”

– Breadwinner Founder Tony Pereira

We designed this bike for the hotly anticipated annual Enve Builder Roundup. You can custom order this same bike right here.

With this design, we set out to push our best-selling A-Road further along as the ultimate road platform for real-world, everyday ownership.

We call it Steel The Rider technology – delivering compliance without complication.

A Mixed Surface Bike That Sings

This new custom-only version of the A-Road absolutely sings with 32-38mm road tires on carbon wheels like the ENVE SES 4.5.

Featuring our made-in-house steel segmented AR Disc fork. The skinny fork profile means that it’s surprisingly lightweight.

This new A-Road is unquestionably a bike designed for spirited road riding, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t handle a little dirt.

* Max tire clearance of 40mm front + rear

* Stealthy fender mounting hardware

* 35mm tires + full coverage fenders = excuse-free winter riding!

* Integrated dynamo wiring and mounts are available

All Breadwinner’s come with the right hanger for your drivetrain. Shimano Direct Mount, and SRAM Long, Mid, and XPLR. Ask about UDH 😉

A Lightweight All Road Bike: THE SPECS

We’ve been getting asked a lot about the weight of this fork relative to a carbon counterpart. The truth is that carbon forks with tapered steerers and massive headset bearings add a fair amount of weight to the front end of a metal bike.

The super-light headtube on the steel fork version of the A-Road means that its roughly the same weight as its carbon-forked cousin.

A Balanced Bike

The A-Road is built with a purpose-selected blend of Columbus’s finest chromoly tubing. A ride-tuned mix of Spirit and Life tubes means that the A-Road is stiff where you want it and compliant where you don’t.

Sure, the steel fork version of the A-Road sports a little bit more flex than the carbon version. We don’t see that as a drawback, though. With a set of super-stiff carbon all-road wheels like the ENVE SES 4.5 or Astral Luna, we get the best of both worlds – a bike that sprints with the response of a race bike, but one that glides over rough surfaces with steeze.

We call it Steel The Rider technology – delivering compliance without complication.
